Best African Restaurants in the US

I asked everyone a while ago what their favorite African food was.  I have to tell you I ended up ravenous that day.  A few of you had never tried African food so I've decided to make a list of one African restaurant I would check out in every state.  I fully expect to be challenged in some states but here goes.  I might surprise myself.  As I make my way through, if you have a favorite please add it to the comments below.  Tell us what your favorite menu item is as well

First stop Alabama.  I have surprised myself already.  I thought I should probably start with an easy state like California but this will teach me to keep an open mind at all times. Next Alaska.  The review have me wanting to run over to Anchorage for some chicken kay kay.

The restaurant is a repurposed house, and has been around for 20 years. Chicken, beef, lamb and fish, injera ( and gluten free injera), Ethiopian tea and coffee. Fantastic reviews on trip advisor, yelp and google.
